Robert B. Hilts

Robert B. Hilts age 65 of West Branch, passed away Monday, September 27, 2010 at his home. Robert had lived in West Branch since 1970, formerly of Hale. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Robert retired in 1999 from UPS after 30 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. Robert is survived by his wife Linda Hilts of West Branch, daughters, Tamara (Bert) Crawford of East Tawas and Dawn Lietner of Skidway Lake, grandchildren, Tara, Sabrina, Tanner and Seth. Also surviving is his mother, Leota Hilts of Hale, his brother, Theo (Carol) Hilts of West Branch and his sisters, Eleanore (Dallas Harmon) Grush of Mikado, Phyllis (George) Mayo of Valrico, FL, Halley (Larry) Wallace and Patricia (Mike) Gregg both of Hale. He was preceded in death by his father, Bastile Hilts and a grandson, James Crawford. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 2-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Pastor Rick Lopez will officiate with burial following at Selkirk Cemetery.
