Robert Allen Towner

Robert Allen Towner, age 83 of St. Helen, passed away Wednesday, April 06, 2016 at Grayling Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born on October 23, 1932 to Roy and Nellie Towner in Roscommon County. He married Carole Foster on March 27, 1953 in Houghton Lake. Robert lived in Roscommon County all his life. He worked at Roscommon County Road Commission in Prudenville for 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and work.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Carole Towner of St. Helen, daughters, Linda Harvey and Diane Phovemire both of Houghton Lake, 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchlidren and close family friends, Judy Maxson and Bill Ramer both of St. Helen. He is preceded in death by parents, son, Johnie, and sister, Grace.

Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 11:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. Pastor Ken Peterson will officiate.
