Robert A. Sentell

Robert A. Sentell, age 81 of St. Helen, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center. Robert had lived in St. Helen since 1978. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1978 after 30 years. He was a member of the 97th Signal Battalion Association, the VFW Post #5680 and the American Legion #416 both of St. Helen. He enjoyed golfing, fast pitch softball, bowling and basketball. He coached his son for many years. Robert is survived by his wife Linda Sentell of St. Helen, stepdaughter Erin (Larry) Arntz of Rose City, grandchildren, Ashley (Brian) Kabat, Branden Sentell, Alex Arntz and Cassandra Arntz and his great-grandchildren Derek Kabat and Addison Kabat. Also surviving are his brothers, Leon (Judy) Sentell of St. Helen and Leslie (Margaret) Heaton of Cantonement FL, his brother-in-law Al Seeds of Pinellas Park, FL. and his step-sister Virginia Miles of Maryville, TN. He was preceded in death by his son Rocky Sentell, his sister, Joyce Seeds and his parents, Zell and Bessie (Anderson) Sentell. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin on Sunday, November 13, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the Community Baptist Church in St. Helen. Pastor Ken Peterson will officiate with burial following at Fairview Cemetery, St. Helen. Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Helen Community Baptist Church.
