Rita Ann Clark

Rita Ann Clark, age 97, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at The Brook in West Branch, MI. She was born on January 16, 1928, in Dearborn, MI, to William and Mary Ellen (Downey) Blust. Rita lived a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories. She lived in West Branch since 2022, formerly in Louisville, KY.

Rita will be remembered for her warm and caring personality. She had a special bond with her Shih Tzu dog, Bailey, who brought joy to her days. Rita took great pride in her beautiful home, which was adorned with gorgeous flowers and a well-tended garden. Her living space reflected her nurturing nature, always kept pretty and well-maintained.

Family time was of utmost importance to Rita. She had a delightful tradition of treating her family to hot fudge cream puffs, creating sweet memories that her loved ones will forever treasure. She also enjoyed hobbies such as gardening and shopping, which brought her immense pleasure. Rita's meticulous attention to detail was evident not only in her home but also in her gift-wrapping skills; presents from her were always perfectly wrapped with pristine paper and beautifully arranged bows.

Rita is survived by her nieces, Mary (Ed) Koliba, Joy (Ed) Hagan Pow, Gerry (Walter) Demeulenaere, and Patty VandenBussche and many great and great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter Clark in 2022; her brother, Steve Blust; her sister, Barbara Heim; her nephew, Rick Blust, and great niece Christie Johnson.

Per her wishes cremation has taken place.

As we reflect on Rita’s life, we celebrate the love she shared, the family traditions she cherished, and the lasting impact she made on those around her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, reminding them of the joy and beauty she brought into their lives.
