Richard "Lucky" Luckritz

Richard “Lucky” Carl Luckritz, age 76, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, MI. He had lived in Alger since 1998, formerly of Eastpointe. Lucky was born on January 17, 1942 in Detroit, MI to Carl and Edna (Starry) Luckritz. He served on the USS Tunny in the US Navy during Vietnam. Lucky worked in Eastpointe as a police officer for over 30 years. He was a jokester and enjoyed playing golf, bowling and spending time on the water boating.

Lucky is survived by his loving companion, Margaret “Maggie” Gentry, his children and step children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church at 3:00 PM with military honors. Interment of ashes will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.
