Richard L. Pauley

December 9, 1937 — October 12, 2004

Richard L. Pauley, age 66 of West Branch, passed away suddenly in Menominee County, Michigan. He had lived in West Branch for all of his life. He was a member of the NRA, the Michigan Home Builders Association and the Northeast Michigan Board of Realtors. He was an avid hunter and sportsman and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife Leah Pauley of West Branch, children--Richard (Donna) Pauley and Christopher (Nichole) Thurlow both of West Branch and Suzanne Pauley of East Lansing, grandchildren--Rebecca, Christina, Robert, Kaelei and Abigail Pauley, Amanda, Theodore and George Thurlow and his special grandson and buddy Alex Pauley. Also surviving is his brother Bernard (Evelyn) Pauley of West Branch, mother in law Mae Plutchak of West Branch, brother and sister in law, Rowland and Kathleen Plutchak of Rochester Hills and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Gertrude Pauley and his father in law, Rowland (Bud) Plutchak. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday October 14, 2004 from 2-9 P.M. There will be a Scripture Service at 7:00 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Friday October 15, 2004 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch. Fr. Robert Bissot and Fr. Richard Seifferly will officiate with burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to ESP-Richard Pauley Scholarship Fund or to the National Wild Turkey Foundation-Ogemaw Hills Chapter.
