Richard J. Knowles

Richard J. Knowles, age 74, of St. Helen, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2007 at Bay Regional Medical Center in Bay City. He had lived in St. Helen since 1975, formerly of Flint. He retired from GM in 1985 and was a member of the American Legion Post #416 in St. Helen. Mr. Knowles is survived by his children, Richard Knowles of Kalkaska, John Knowles of Traverse City, Susan Carter of St. Helen and Mary Fulton of Mt. Morris, his grandchildren, Tracy, Tammy, Wendy, David, Caleb, Mikael, Karen, Crystal, Danny, Jessica, Rebecca and Jennifer and his great-grandchildren, Ryan, Kaci, Nicole, Laney, Kyrsti, Spencer, Roy, Zachary, Michaela, Breana, Hilary, Hunter, Wyatt, Sawyer, Jaylen, Dakota, Madison, Chloe, Sierra, Dominick and Navaeh. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma in 2005. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 until the time of the service at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Dan Stoneback will officiate.
