Richard E. Beltz

Richard E. Beltz, age 79, of St. Helen, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2007 at his home. He had lived in St. Helen since 1958, formerly of Detroit. Mr. Beltz was a member of the AuSable River Model A Club of Mio and he enjoyed antique cars, working and building with parts out of his garage. Survivors include his daughters, Marie (William) Abbatoy and Barbara (Charles) Moore both of Lake Wales, FL, grandchildren; Bobby (Ashley) Abbatoy, Matthew (Melissa) Moore, Andrew Moore and Nathan Abbatoy. Also surviving is his brother, Arthur (Helen) Beltz of St. Helen, his close friend and companion June Meyer of St. Helen, many nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris in 1997 and 2 brothers, Leo and Al Beltz. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin on Sunday, May 20, 2007 from 12-9 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2007 at St. Helen Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, St. Helen. Memorial Contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
