Richard D. “Dick” Adkins, age 67, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at home with his “Honey Bunny” by his side along with daughter, eldest granddaughter, and other family members. Dick has lived in West Branch since 1996, formerly of Williamston, MI. He was an avid college sports fan, golfer, and all around handy man, never getting all chores completed. He will be missed and is survived by his wife, Sue Adkins; daughter: Amy (Eric) Lionquist; grandchildren: Ciara Adkins, Tyler Boothe, Lance Lionquist, Anna Lionquist; father: Claude Adkins; brothers: Claude (Kay) Adkins, Robert (Mary) Adkins, James (Stephanie) Adkins; and countless family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, mother Dorothy, son Jeff, and best buddy Lynn Willette. No service will be held at this time. Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to Hemophilia Foundation of MI c/o Eagle Outpost Camping Program, or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were handled by Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Homes, Inc. in West Branch, MI.
