Richard Dean Beattie

Richard Dean Beattie, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 in Prescott, MI. He lived in Prescott since 1997, formerly of Marine City, MI.

Richard was born on May 6, 1934 in Port Huron, MI to Charles and Grace (Summerville) Beattie. He married Betty Sharrow in Angola, IN on May 31, 1957.

He was very active in H.A.M. Radio and a member of the NRA. He loved shooting guns, hunting, and spending time with family.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Beattie of Prescott; daughters, Terry (Ray) Allor of Clay Township, MI, Paula Beattie of Prescott, and Robin (Mike) Worden of Algonac, MI; 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; brother, John (Marilyn) Beattie; sister, Linda (Bob) Quirk; brother-in-law, Alfred Westrick; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his son, Richard Wade Beattie, daughter, Loretta Cofer, and sister, Joyce Westrick.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place.
