Richard Allen Hill

Richard Allen Hill, age 76, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Villa at Rose City. He had lived in West Branch, MI since 1994. Richard was born on June 16, 1940 in Coleman, MI to Roy and Catherine (Hawthorne) Hill and grew up in Pinconning, MI. He was a member of the American Legion and was a proud US Army Veteran. Richard enjoyed watching NASCAR, Green Bay Packers, and supporting community events. His granddaughters affectionately referred to him as “Pie”.

Richard is survived by his children, Rick (Karen) Brabo, Lydia (Ward) Kimball, and William (Nex) Hill all of West Branch, MI; grandchildren, Autumn (Darrin) Hunter, Kerri (Ben) McBride, Gale Kimball, and Evan Kimball (Elizabeth Getzinger); great grandchildren, Hunter and Blake McBride; and sister, Sharon Skowron. He is preceded in death by his wife, Anne Hill; grandson, Evan Kimball; parents, Roy and Catherine; and siblings, Beatrice, Esther, and Ken.

In effort to benefit the world, Richard has donated his body to the University of Michigan Medical Science Center.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
