Richard Allan Duan, age 85, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at his home in St. Helen, MI. He was born on January 22, 1935 in Rockford, IL to Earl and Evelyn (Baker) Duan. Dick lived in St. Helen since 2006, formerly of Alorgando, NM. He served in Vietnam and retired after over 21 years with the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Eagles in Houghton Lake and also New Mexico. Dick married Margaret LaFortune on October 11, 2001. He enjoyed golfing, puzzles and spending time with his grandchildren.
Dick is survived by his loving wife, Marge Duan of St. Helen; children, Leslie (John) Virgin of Loveland, CO, Michael Duan of Aurora, CO and Cindy Green of Flint; grandchildren, Lucas and Mikayla Randall; and sister in law, Eleanor (Kenny) Burnette of Kalkaska. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joyce Cushion.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in the spring. His ashes will be buried in a National Cemetery in Colorado.
