Richard Arnold Hodge, age 55 of Ortonville, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2005 at his sister's home in Rose City. Richard was born August 24, 1950 in Montgomery, West Virginia to James and Lillian (Brooks) Hodge. He married Kathleen A. Howes on June 25, 1988 in Oxford, Michigan. She survives him. Also surviving are his children, Lisa Marie (Todd) Deachin of Goodrich and Stacey Lyn (Robert) Reynolds of Grand Blanc, a stepdaughter, Beth Marie (Brian)Quibell of Northport, Florida, 8 grandchildren, 6 brothers and sisters, Anita (Raymond) King, Carrie Hicks and James (Flossie) Hodge Jr. all of Rose City, Churyl Cowen of Waterford, Michael (Marjorie) Hodge and Mary Forbing both of Mio, his stepfather Donald (Patricia) Davis of West Branch and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Richard enjoyed his retirement by hunting, fishing, and working on his 10 acres in the West Branch area. He was known for his genuine honesty, his big smile and hardy laughter. He was definitely a "man among men." A Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Saturday, October 8, 2005 at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home, 611 Bennett St. (M-33), Rose City, Michigan. Visitation will begin on Saturday at 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service. The Rev. Donald Wojewski will officate.
