Regina M. Gaulin, age 93 of West Branch, passed away at her home on Tuesday, April 10, 2012. Regina was born May 16, 1918 in Alexandria, IN the daughter of George and Ida (Zettel) Boyle. She had lived in Ogemaw County since 1947, formerly of Quebec. Regina was very interested in family history, loved to walk when the weather was nice and could complete a crossword puzzle faster than anyone. She was generous and loved her family joyfully. When visitors left her home she always said “Angels go with you.” Regina is survived by her children, John (Pat) Gaulin of Rudyard and George (Jackie) Gaulin of Hale; grandchildren, Nicole (Rick) McGahey of Hersey, Jed (Ivy) Gaulin of Batesville, IN and Jennifer (Greg) Raymond of West Branch; and great-grandchildren, Matthew and Margaret McGahey and John and Sonja Gaulin. She is also survived by her sister Margaret Bouvette of Three Rivers Quebec and her special friend and caregiver Diane Jameson. Regina was preceded in death by her husband, Otice and her brothers, Walter and George “Bud” Boyle. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 3-9 p.m. The Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch. Fr. Patrick Maher will officiate. Thank you to friends at St. Joseph Catholic Parish and Ogemaw Commission on Aging for the love and care over past years, and to Hospice of Helping Hands in past weeks. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to these organizations.
