Rebecca Lynn Nicol (Painter), age 67, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Mid-Michigan Hospital in Midland, MI. She had lived in Cadillac, MI for the past year, formerly of Rose City and Farwell, MI. Rebecca was born on January 11, 1950 in Saginaw, MI to John “Jack” (Martha) Painter and Amanda (Dorr) Knudsen. She retired in 1992 as Director of Trucking with Sexton Disposal Services in Chicago, IL. She sat on the Labor Arbitration Board with the State of Michigan and was a member of the Zonta Club of Saginaw. Rebecca volunteered at Farwell United Methodist Church and enjoyed ceramics, fishing, traveling, and taking care of her family.
Rebecca is survived by her children, Kurt (Rebecca) Clark, Laura (Dave) Sisco, and Cheri Clark; five grandchildren, Ashley, Joseph, Emily, Leah, and Levi; great grandson, Spencer; step mother, Martha Painter; brothers, William (Beverly) Knudsen and Kenneth (Delores) Painter; and sisters, Jacqueline(Donald) Nolf, Bonnie (Ronald) Whitney, Cyndi Schurr, Deborah Dark, and Stacey (Tim) Tyler. She is preceded in death by her father,John, mother, Amanda, dad, Dorr, brothers, John and Sam, and husband, Raymond Nicol in 2016.
Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI at 2:00 PM.
