Ralph Edward Schnautz

Ralph Edward Schnautz, age 96 of West Branch, passed away Friday, June 5, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. Ralph was born on November 30, 1923 to John and Mary Schnautz in Saginaw, MI. Ralph married Jean Knapp on June 1, 1946 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Saginaw, MI. He has lived in West Branch since 1969, formerly of Saginaw, MI. Ralph was a World War II veteran in the US Army and received a Bronze Star. He is a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in West Branch, K of C Council #8948, VFW Post #3775. Ralph enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood carving, playing cards, and spending time with his family.

Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Jean Schnautz, children; Patricia (Michael) Kuhn, John (Mary Jane) Schnautz, Joan (Virgil) Neubecker, Ken (Kathy) Schnautz, Rose (Bill) Izworski, Marie (Ron) Hurren, Tom (Marsha) Schnautz, 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by daughter, Marilyn Dilloway.

A Celebration of Mass will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Holy Family Catholic Church in West Branch at 11:00 AM with visitation from 10:00 AM until time of Mass. Father Emmanuel Finbarr will officiate.
