Peter C. Dorazio

Peter C. Dorazio, age 82, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Saginaw VA Hospital. Peter was born to Emilio and Angelina (Colone) Dorazio on April 23, 1931 in Highland Park, MI. He loved boating, fishing, hunting, and playing pool. Peter also enjoyed spending time with his friends and was an avid sports fan. Peter is survived by his brother-in-law; Robert Skalski, his nieces; Angeline (Robert) Nickerson, and Pamela Skalski, his nephew; Robert Skalski, three great nephews and one great niece; Jeffrey Guy, Gregory (Chelsea) Nickerson, Kevin Skalski, and Kristi Skalski, one great great nephew; Austin Guy Nickerson. Peter is preceded in death by his parents; Emilio and Angelina Dorazio, brother; Gaetano (Guy) and Irene Dorazio, and sister; Louisa Skalski. Peter will be reunited with family and friends, but will be missed by many. Visitation at the St. Helen Catholic Church in St. Helen, MI will begin on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. Father Joe Muszkiewicz and Sister Barbara Matievich will officiate. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery with Military Honors following the funeral service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Arrangements were handled by Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen, MI.
