Peggy J. Zimmerman

Peggy J. Zimmerman, 71 of St. Helen, passed away Monday, December 7, 2009 at her home. Peggy had lived in St. Helen since 1993, formerly of Clio. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and she enjoyed her grandchildren, fishing and ice fishing, lawn work, campfires, camping and being outdoors. Peggy is survived by her children, Ken Zimmerman of St. Helen, Tammy Hickey of Flint, Mark Zimmerman of Mt. Morris and Toni Daly of Flint, 10 grandchildren, Damien, Jason, Amy, Howie, Eric, David, Steven, Terra, Tiffany and Nick, 10 great-grandchildren with one on the way. Also surviving are her two brothers, Richard (Rita) Smith and Gene Lucas and her sisters, Betty Kartes, Mary Nestle, Barb (Jerry) Johnson and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Zimmerman and 9 brothers and sisters. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin on Thursday, December 10, 2009 from 3-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Hope Lutheran Church in St. Helen. Rev. Rodney Morrison will officiate with burial following at Fairview Cemetery, St. Helen. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hope Lutheran Church.
