Paul Michael Hernandez

Paul Michael Hernandez, age 44, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at his home in Hale, MI. He lived in Hale since August 2020, formerly of San Antonio, TX. He was born on October 11, 1976 in San Antonio to Ralph and Minnie (Rivera) Hernandez. On November 3, 2001, he married Melina Lucio in San Antonio and they have been together for a total of 25 years.

Paul graduated from William Taft High School in 1995 and went on to get a master’s in business from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He worked for the United Services Automobile Association in San Antonio for 18 years.

Paul was a gamer and enjoyed movies, especially horror movies and had a sarcastic dry sense of humor. He helped with local charities and homeless shelters. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and loved spicy food, the hotter the better!

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Melina Hernandez of Hale; two fur babies, Scoobi and Bella; mother, Minnie Gutierrez of San Antonio; brother, Daniel Hernandez of San Diego, CA; mother-in-law, Gloria Lucio of San Antonio; sister-in-law, Mellisa Terrazas of San Antonio; and nephews, Matthew and Luke. He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph and grandparents.

Per his wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in his hometown of San Antonio, TX in the coming weeks.
