Paul E. Sheick

Paul E. Sheick, age 89, died Thursday, June 19, 2014. He was born on May 1, 1925 in Flint, Michigan to Lewis and Lillian Sheick. A veteran of the United States Navy, Paul was a member of the VFW Post in West Branch and Edwards Community Church; he enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting, and outdoor activities. Paul is survived by his mother-in-law, Polly Tankersley of Annisto, AL; children Gary (Diana) Tankersley of Smith Station, AL and Cleta (Robert) Henderson of Anniston, AL; grandchildren: Brad (Amy) Tankersley of Phoenix City, AL, Kelly Vadney of Apache Junction, AZ, and Robin (Doug) Oliver of South Lyon, MI; close friend and nephew, Gerald and Margaret Sheick of West Branch, MI; sister-in-law, Linda Sheick of West Branch, MI; as well as several nieces and nephews and many great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Sheick, his parents, and son, Calvin Sheick. Visitation will begin Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch until the time of service at 5:00 p.m. Memorial donations can be made Edwards Community Church.
