Paul A. Poling

Paul A. Poling, age 78 of West Branch, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2011. Paul was born in Rock Bridge Ohio and moved to West Branch in 1934. He owned and operated Diebold Insurance Agency in West Branch from 1956 to 1983. He served on the Tolfree Memorial Hospital Board of Directors for many years, was a member of the Moose Lodge, the Kiwanis Club and the West Branch Country Club. Paul is survived by his daughter, Janis (Ricky) Fontenot of Rose City, grandsons, Paul, Josh and Jordon and 2 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his brother Thomas (Carolee) Poling and his sister Mary Jackson. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara and his 2 children, Michael Poling and Jill Fournier and his brother Stacey Poling. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, August 4, 2011 from 3-9 p.m. On Friday, Paul will lie in state at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Mass at 2:00 p.m. Fr. Patrick Maher will officiate. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, West Branch.
