Patrick L. Mccarthy

Patrick L. McCarthy, age 68 of West Branch, passed away at his home Sunday, August 17, 2008. He had lived in West Branch since 1975, formerly of Detroit. Pat was an avid golfer and he also enjoyed puzzles, snowmobiling, Rods & Relics and he was a collector of NASCAR memorabilia. He owned and operated McCarthy Plumbing and Heating for 33 years. Pat is survived by his wife Mary of West Branch, children, Sheila (Kevin) Campbell of Ann Arbor, Danny (Patty) McCarthy of New Hudson, Sean (Carol) McCarthy of Westland and David (Sherri) McCarthy of Bradenton, FL, 10 grandchildren, his step-children, Sue (Randy) Leiter of Branson, MO, Renee (David) Goodfellow and Jan (Greg) Sancrant both of West Branch, Mike (Danis) Mier of Port Clinton, OH Chris Mier of Punta Gorda, FL, 12 step-grandchilden and 12 step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers, Timothy (Marge) McCarthy of Gold Canyon, AZ, Kevin (Kathy) McCarthy of Livonia and Michael (Paula) McCarthy of Seattle, WA, his sisters, Maureen (John) Walters of Rochester Hills, Colleen (Gary) Archie of Durango, CO, Mary (Tom) Grace and Bridget (Cliff) Riley both of West Branch. He was preceded in death by his parents, L.T. and Katherine McCarthy and his brother, Terry. The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch. The family will be present to receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Robert Bissot will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, West Branch.
