Patrick Edward Dwyer

Patrick Edward Dwyer, age 76, of Wyandotte, Mi passed away on Monday the 23rd of October 2023 surrounded by his family. Patrick was born on the 11th of May 1947, the third of four boys born to Anna V. and Kenneth E. Dwyer of Highland Park, MI.

Patrick grew up in Highland Park and graduated from Highland Park High School in 1965. While growing up, he developed a deep love of the outdoors and sports which he carried throughout his life. He was a true Highland Parker his entire life and had a love for his hometown unlike any other!

Shortly after high school, Patrick began his career in the printing industry which spanned over 43 years. In 2009, he retired from Colortech Graphics in Roseville, MI. Although his career in printing came to an end, he wasn't quite ready to retire completely so he spent several years as a shuttle driver for the railroad and a car shuttle for Avis rental car company before he finally hung up his hat in 2020 to the delight of his daughter!

Along the way he raised two daughters, traveled from one side of the United States to the other, spent many nights camping under the stars and many days hiking the beautiful trails. Patrick loved being in the water swimming, snorkeling and was a certified scuba diver. He became Godfather to Ian Marshall and Chelsea Thomas, he was a grandfather, a great grandfather and the best friend anyone could have.

Patrick will be dearly missed by his family and many dear friends he made in this journey of life.

He is survived by his daughter Kristin Mondeau-Dwyer (Dee) of Lupton, MI, grandsons Alex Dundon of Palm Bay, FL and Logan Schultz of Lupton, MI, great granddaughter Alexis of FL, and his partner in life Laura Gardner of Taylor, MI.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents Anna V. and Kenneth E. Dwyer, brothers Earl, Michael, and Timothy Dwyer and daughter Sherry Dundon.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday the 11th of November 2023 @3 pm at Lupton Friends Church, 3365 Main St. (Lupton Rd), Lupton, MI 48635. There will be a dinner to follow at the Rose Township Hall (across from the church).
