Patrick C. Gallagher

Patrick C. Gallagher, age 69, passed away Friday, May 31, 2013, at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Pat was born March 2, 1944, to Arthur and Dorothy (Meir) Gallagher and had lived in West Branch for all of his life. Pat was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, K of C #2022, and the NRA. He retired from Sandvik in 2009 after 25 years of service. Pat enjoyed hunting, fishing, trips out west and hunting trips to the U.P. Pat is survived by his former wife, Mary Ehinger, his sons, Irish (Linda) Gallagher of Benton Harbor, Ryan (Sherri) Gallagher of West Branch, and Tracy Gallagher of Midland, his grandchildren, Shane, Devin, Karissa, and Justin. Also surviving are his brothers Gary (Lauranne) Gallagher of Flint, Danny (Pat) Gallagher, and Greg Gallagher both of West Branch, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family wishes to express extreme gratitude to his friends that have assisted him in the last several years. Especially Don and Christa Brown and Dick Wangler. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Monday, June 3, 2013, from 3-9 p.m. A Rosary will be said at 6:30 pm with Scripture Service immediately following. On Tuesday, Pat will lie in state at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Patrick Maher will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Ogemaw County Food Bank.
