Patricia Lou Wiegerink

Patricia Lou (Prinny) Wiegerink, 90, of West Branch, Michigan died Tuesday, February 20, 2018. Pat was born July 22, 1927 in New Boston, Michigan, the daughter of Hamilton and Ada Adams. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Wiegerink, sister, June Braun, and brother, Milton Adams. Pat is survived by children Deborah Williams, Judy (Denny) Norris, John Wiegerink, Beth (Mark) Roe, and Trisha Wiegerink. She is also survived by grandchildren Amy (Buck) Gage, Jenny Trout, Jeff (Cherie) Williams, Donley (Amanda) Norris, Becky (Chris) Norris, Jordan (Annie) Roe, Garrett (Meredith) Roe, Regan Richards, and Darby Richards. In addition, her surviving great-grandchildren include: Hunter, London, Avery, Alyssa, Gavin, Ethan, Addilyn, and Sawyer.

Pat and her late husband, Lloyd, met at The University of Michigan in 1945 and married on December 21, 1946 in New Boston, Michigan. After Lloyd finished medical school at the University of Michigan, they briefly lived in Grand Rapids, Lansing, and Wilmington, Delaware before settling in West Branch in 1956 where they resided until their deaths.

Pat was active in the community and volunteered with many organizations including Hospice of Helping Hands, Tolfree Hospital Foundation, and the First United Methodist Church. She also was a member of Questers and Daughters of the American Revolution. Pat was an avid University of Michigan fan and especially enjoyed cheering on the Wolverine football team.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm on Friday, March 9, at the First United Methodist Church, 2490 State Road, West Branch, Michigan with a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Tolfree Hospital Foundation Pooch Park (www.wbrmc.com/event-dog-talk), 335 East Houghton Avenue, West Branch, MI 48661.
