Patricia June Lapoint

Patricia June LaPoint age 80 of Prescott, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 under the great care of Medilodge of Sterling and Heartland Hospice. Patricia was born June 10, 1932 in Richmond, MI, the daughter of William and Autumn Demick. She had lived in Prescott since 1982, formerly of Commerce Twp. Patricia enjoyed camping and spending time with grandchildren. She was also the former owner of Hayloft Lounge in Skidway Lake. Patricia is survived by son, David Lee LaPoint of Alger, daughter, Janice Lynn LaPoint of Prescott, daughter, Wendy (Joe) Cota of Commerce Twp., grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Cota, Jordan Ryan Cota, David Lee LaPoint II, Jillian Leigh LaPoint, and Tyler Joseph Cota. Also surviving is sister, Jean Hamsher of Arizona, brother-in-law, Richard Manning of Seattle, WA, sister-in-law, Barb Demick of Troy, MI and loving nieces and nephews from Seattle and Massachusetts. She was preceded in death in 2004 by her loving husband Leon Frederick LaPoint of 55 years, sister, Janet Manning, and brothers, William and Richard Demick. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Rev. Lisa Cook will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or Medilodge of Sterling.
