Ora A. Pekrul

Ora Alene McIntosh Pekrul, age 88 of West Branch, passed away March 29, 2012, at Brian’s House in Bangor Township, Bay County Mi. Ora was born November 27, 1923, in Covington, Tipton County, Tennessee, to James Russell and Irene Neely Delk McIntosh. She married Alfred Andrew Pekrul on October 31, 1943, in Upland, California. Ora lived in West Branch since 1944. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Stars. Ora loved to spend time with family camping and traveling and was a huge Nascar fan. Ora is survived by her children: Donna (John) Walsh, James & Sandy Pekrul, and Irene (Edward) Breadon. Grandchildren: Diana (Brad) Bissonette, Michael Walsh and fiancé Tammi Krawczyk, Michael and Nancy Pekrul, Robert and Kristen Pekrul, Timothy and Stacy Breadon, and Christina Breadon, Steve and Tammy Waddell, and Scott Waddell. Sixteen great-grandchildren, Tanner Bissonette, Savanna Bissonette, Kathleen Walsh and finance Scott Bell, Madeline Pekrul, Kyle Pekrul, Aaron Pekrul, Katie Pekrul, John Pekrul, Raegan Waddell, Brady Waddell, Quinn Waddell, Caleb Breadon, Anna Breadon, Emilee Breadon, Austin Krawczyk, Alec Krawczyk and 1 great-great-grandchild, Charlotte Bell. Also surviving are brother-in-law, Wilfred (Muriel) Pekrul, sister-in-law, Edna Pekrul, her former daughter-in-law, Darlene (Curt) Craven and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred in October 2000. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 3-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the First United Methodist Church in West Branch. Pastor Lisa Cook will officiate with burial following at Brookside Cemetery, West Branch. Memorial Contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church in West Branch or to Brian’s House of Bay City.
