Norman Ernest Mcbride

Norman Ernest McBride, age 81, passed away at his home in Alger, MI on May 15, 2016. He had lived in Alger for the past 8 years, formerly of Warren, MI. Norman was born to Thomas and Velma (Bernoski) McBride in Roseville, MI on March 27, 1935. He married Nancy Elizabeth Winsten in Detroit, MI on November 1, 1963. Norman worked at East-Lind Heat Treat Inc. in Madison Heights, MI for over 50 years and just retired in December 2015. Norman was an honest, decent man and taking care of his family was his top priority, and his passion was anything with a motor in it!

Norman is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Nancy McBride of Alger, MI; children, Susan Meneghin of Centerville, MI, Laura (Lenord) Score of Lake Orion, MI; Kim (Gregory) Selonke of St. Clair, MI, Sherry (Frankie) Cracciholo of Centerline, MI; and Randy McBride of CA; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and siblings, Grace, Helen, and Steve. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Velma, daughter, Dee Dee, son, Wayne, and brothers, Howard and Charlie.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch, MI will begin on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be at the funeral home on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at the Alger Cemetery. Lay Minister Doug Weible will officiate.
