Norma Reva Downs

Norma Reva Downs, age 79, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at her home in Alger, MI. She was born on October 30, 1939 in Wayne, MI to Vernon and Hazel (Jubinville) Crandall. She married Gerald James Downs on November 23, 1957. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Norma is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gerald Downs; son, Patrick Downs; daughter, Kelly (Larry Foster) Searfoss; 5 grandchildren, Robert Carey, David Downs, Katrina (Robert Arntz) Searfoss, Jessica Downs and Jennifer Downs; 11 great grandchildren, Dylan, Hannah, Dakota, Hailey, Barbara, Michael, Daniel, Jayda, Johny, Dylan and Adrianna; 2 sisters, Ava Richards and Ella Mumford; 2 step grandchildren, Maegan (Devin Covietz) and Jacob Arntz; and 2 step great grandchildren, Zachary Covietz and Alice Covietz. She is preceded in death by her parents and 13 siblings.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Monday, April 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Edwards Township Cemetery. Pastor Paul Klassen will officiate.
