Nellie M. (Valley) Globke

Nellie M. (Valley) Globke, age 90 went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 19, 2013. Nellie had lived in West Branch for most of her life. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church in West Branch and she enjoyed fishing, tap dancing, poetry, bowling and music. Nellie is survived by her children Ann (Gary) McDonald of West Branch, Kay (Wayne) Wardynski of Bay City, Jeffrey (Julie) Globke of West Branch, David Globke of West Branch and Mark (Lisa) Globke of West Branch, 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister-in-law Frances Valley of Henderson, NV and her nephew Irv (Sue) Gollehur of Trenton. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Arthur in 1995, along with 7 brothers and 5 sisters. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday, June 21, 2013 from 11-9 p.m. On Saturday, visistation at the funeral home will begin at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. High Priest Richard Hamilton will officiate with burial following at Brookside Cemetery, West Branch. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association or to the wishes of the family.
