Neil Vern Clemens

Neil Vern Clemens, age 63, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from a terminal illness, Frontotemporal Degeneration at The Villa at Rose City. He had lived in West Branch, MI for most of his life. Neil was born to Junior and Marie (Rau) Clemens in West Branch on February 5, 1953. He married Michele Dickson on July 29, 1989 in West Branch. Neil was a hardworking husband, father, grandfather, friend and an avid hunter and fisherman. He was an Eagle Scout, graduated from Ferris State College, and was Vice President of Kelcourt Construction.

Neil is survived by his wife, Michele Clemens of West Branch, MI; children, Amy (Jason) Lowell of Bay City, MI, Holly (Andy) Gwizdala of Bay City, MI, Clayton (Emily Losinski) Clemens of West Branch, MI and Colin Clemens of West Branch, MI; grandchildren, Samantha Lowell, Bailley Lowell, Taya Lowell, Olivia Gwizdala and Nathan Gwizdala; father, Junior Clemens of West Branch, MI; siblings, Ivan (Gina) Clemens, Olen (Bonnie) Clemens, Arlo (Sue) Clemens, Eric (Shelly) Clemens, Luana (Elton) Lawe, and Veda (Peter) Keefe; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Marie Clemens.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a K of C Rosary at 7:00 p.m. On Monday, April 11, 2016 Neil will lie in state at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Father Patrick Maher will officiate.
