Nancy Jane Hoxie, age 77, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016 in West Branch, MI. She had lived in West Branch since 1986, formerly of Ann Arbor, MI. Nancy was born on May 9, 1938 to Aubrey and Ruth (Mattison) Whitfield in Chelsea, MI. Nancy was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Kiwanis Club of West Branch, Relay for Life, and the Board of Cosmetology. She enjoyed racing go karts and spending time with her family.
Nancy is survived by her children, Mark (Cindy) Livesay of Saline, MI, Vicki (Roger) Hoxie of Pleasant Lake, MI, Scott (Shelly) Livesay of Fenton, MI, sisters, Patsy Hentz, Sally Peer, and Lucy (Doug) Kuligowski; grandchildren, Anthony Hoxie, Christopher Livesay, Cal Livesay, Daniel Livesay, Brian (Katie) Hoxie, Catherine (Marcus) Trammel, Rebekah Hoxie, and Hannah Hoxie; great grandchildren, Natalie, Addison, and Jax; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her very best and closest friend, Naomi Bunting of West Branch. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Al Hoxie; sister, Mary Ellen Craft, brother and sister in law, David (Lee) Whitfield, niece, Jennifer Kuligowski, brothers in law, Gary Hentz and Bill Peer.
At the family's request, her body was donated to the University of Michigan Anatomical Donation for the advancement of science.
A Memorial Service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in West Branch, MI on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Tim Dibble will officiate.
