Myrtle E. Deland

Myrtle E. DeLand, age 86 passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Lapeer Regional Hospital. She lived in St. Helen for 47 years before moving to Lapeer 8 years ago. Myrtle enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, knitting and crocheting. She will be missed by family and friends. Survivors include her daughter, Cindy (Chuck) Smith of Columbiaville, grandchildren, Patrick Lee Monahan of Riverview and Kelly Rae Monahan of Jacksonville, FL, great-grandchildren, Matthew and Eric, Emillee, Nathan and Joseph. Also surviving are her two brothers, Robert Hansen of Geneseeville, and Harold Hansen of Holly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith, 2 brothers, Walter and Oscar and sister, Delores. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Dan Stoneback will officiate with burial following at Fairview Cemetery, St. Helen.
