Myrna Sue Bedtelyon-Ismail, age 53, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 24, 2017 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan with her family by her side. Myrna was born September 25, 1963 to Raymond and Carole Sue (Marsh) Bedtelyon in West Branch, MI. Myrna who was affectionately known as Mustang Sally, Lady M., Myrnie, or Ziggy would light up a room when she walked in. She loved people, the color purple, and road trips. Myrna was passionate about church and attended where ever she was, whether it was the Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church in West Branch, the Christ Family Church of Brownstown, MI or the Five Mile Community Church of Jackson, KY. She loved writing letters of encouragement to her friends, and considered it a joy giving what she had to others. Myrna also would never pass up a moment spent with her grandbabies, and nieces and nephews.
Surviving family members are her children Malak (Kyle) Taylor of Monroe, MI, Samii (Candace) Ismail of Allen Park, MI, and Dunia (Blake) Lutz of Hendersonville, TN. Her grandchildren Payton and Avery, parents Raymond and Carole Sue Bedtelyon of West Branch, siblings Raymond Jr. ( Lola) Bedtelyon of Elkhart, IN, Mark (Teresa) Bedtelyon of West Branch, and Pam (Sam) Cottle of West Branch, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Kareem Ismail in 1996.
Funeral Services for Myrna will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church in West Branch at 1:00PM. Visitation will be held on Monday two hours prior to the service at the church from 11-1PM. Pastor David Kurtz will officiate.
The family asks all those planning on attending services please were their favorite shade of Purple in memory of Myrna.
Those wishing to send memorial contributions may consider the KMBC ( Kentucky Mountain Bible College) in Jackson, Kentucky. Mt. Carmel School 75 Mill Creek Lawson Rd., Jackson, KY 41339. Myrna loved this school because even though she got kicked out when she went there, she knew they truly loved her, took care of her and prayed for her. She felt true peace and rejuvenated when she was there.
