Mr. Dishaw passed away at Bortz Health Care in Rose City following a long battle with Alzheimers. He was born September 5, 1929 in Bay City, the son of Moses X. and Mary Dishaw. He married Helen (Kelly) Dishaw on February 2, 1972. Moe was a retired carpenter and was a member of the Carpenters Union for over 50 years and was well known in the Bay City area. He is accredited to building the monument at the friendship shell in downtown Bay City. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved to golf. Survivors include his wife Doris of West Branch, children--Lenny, Debra (Gene), Ben (Wendy), Kelly (Laurie), Bill and Chris (Tricia). 8 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. 2 sisters, Lila Bohlinger and Virginia "Diddy" (Allen) Steinbauer, several nieces, nephews and many dear friends also survive. Moe was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard "Shorty", Charles and Harold and 3 sisters, Leona, Adele and Alice. The family would like to thank Bortz Health Care of Rose City for their considerate care of Moe. A special thank you to our friends in the "Adventure Club." At Moe's request, cremation has taken place and the date of his Memorial Service is yet to be determined.
