Monte Joseph Moulton

Monte J. Moulton, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at St. Mary’s of Michigan Standish Hospital – Skilled Nursing Facility. He had lived in Alger, MI since 2001, formerly of Macomb Twp., MI. Monte was born on November 12, 1937 to Joseph and Lottie (Wethey) Moulton in New Baltimore, MI. On August 24, 1957, he married Beverly Dodge in New Baltimore. He was a member of the Teamsters Local #299 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, camping, traveling and spending time with his family. Monte was a handyman and would fix anything. He had a great sense of humor and made everyone feel welcome.

Monte is survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Beverly Moulton of Alger, MI; son, Dennis Moulton of Alger, MI; daughter, Sheryl (Richard) McLaughlin of Shelby Twp., MI; grandchildren, Monte, Tara, Lindsay and Janelle; great grandchildren, Alisha, Mackenzie, and Joey; and sister, Lila Kelly of New Haven, MI. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Joseph Pelka, 3 brothers and 8 sisters.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church in West Branch on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Tom Teall will officiate. A private burial will be held at the Alger Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions can be made to Calvary Baptist Church of West Branch in memory of Monte Moulton.
