Michael "Mikey" S. Briggs

Michael “Mikey” Briggs, Jr., age 21, passed away Friday, January 17, 2014. He was born Monday, October 12, 1992 to Michael and Mary (Mitchell) Briggs in Dearborn, MI. Mikey was a member of the IBEW Local 17. His baby and best friend dog Gidget meant the world to him, she was with him and also passed. He enjoyed mud bogging, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He is survived by his parents; sister, Amanda Mitchell of Twining; brother, Dusty Briggs of Linden, grandparents: Clyde and Judy Mitchell of Rockwood, MI; Ray Briggs of Palmer, AK and Mary Briggs of TN; uncle, Jeff Mitchell of Standish; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City will begin on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 9 p.m. Services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
