Michael E. Kaniewski

Michael E. Kaniewski, age 52 of West Branch, passed away Monday, April 21, 2008. He had lived in West Branch since 1986 and was a custodian for St. Joseph School. He enjoyed sports, especially hockey and the Detroit Red Wings. Mike is survived by his wife, Sue Kaniewski of West Branch, children, Jenelle (Chad) Dufresne of Bay City, Brad Kaniewski of St. Helen and Mariah Kaniewski of West Branch, his granddaughter, Brooke Dufresne; father, Ed (Mary Ann) Kaniewski of West Branch, brothers, Eddie Kaniewski Jr. of West Branch and Andrew (Mary) Kaniewski of Canton, his sister, Karen (Jeff) Marvin of West Branch and his grandmother, Wanda Kaniewski of Clinton Twp. He was preceded in death by his mother Delores and step-mother Geraldine. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, April 24, 2008 from 2-9 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch. Fr. Robert Bissot will officiate with burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery.
