Loving husband, Pops, brother, Grandpa, Uncle and friend passed away Monday November 3, 2003 at his home with his family at his side. He had lived in Lupton for all of his life. He attended Lupton Friends Church and he retired from Bulk Matic Transport, Saginaw Terminal in 2001. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Blood is survived by his wife Sandra of Lupton, sons--Douglas (Missey) Blood of Lupton, Michael Blood of Taylor, Billy Blood of Detroit, daughters--Nona (Tim) Crozier of Taylor, Elaine Blood of Detroit, stepchildren--Tina Lamb, Christina (Richard) Lowens, Jeff (Dawn) Hatfield, Paul Hatfield, Curtis (Janet) Lang all of Florida, Marty Hatfield of Lupton, sisters--Ellen (Bill) Shook of Lupton, Elizabeth (Mike) Roe of Paw Paw, Sharlie (Lewis) McKellar of Rose City and Connie (Don) Muir of Port Huron, brothers--Larry Kay Matthews of Hale and Patrick Matthews of Lupton. 5 grandchildren, 7 stepgrandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and special friends Leo and Karen McGowan of Bridgeport, Dave and Sandy Hein of Lupton and Fred Horner of Akron. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathlene O'Meara Matthews, stepfather Lawrence Matthews, father Charles Blood, brothers--James Blood and Bill Blood and his sister Joyce Kangas. A Special Thanks to Mid-Michigan Hospice, especially Dawn and Janet. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City will begin on Tuesday November 4, 2003 from 7-9 P.M. and Wednesday from 12-9 P.M. The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday November 6, 2003 at the Funeral Home. Pastor Jack Rice will officiate with burial following at Lane Heights Cemetery, Lupton. Memorial Contributions may be made to Mid-Michigan Hospice.
