Matthew Emanuel Pearson

Matthew Emanuel Pearson, was born on Tuesday, July 13, 1976, in Port Huron, MI. He passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, in Harrison, MI, after a short battle with cancer. Matt was the embodiment of hard work and a fun-loving spirit, qualities that resonated throughout his professional and personal life.

After graduating from Ogemaw Heights High School in 1994, Matt embarked on a diverse career path that showcased his dedication and skills. He spent many years working at the Ponderosa Steakhouse in West Branch, followed by over 15 years as an equipment operator and pipe layer for Team Elmer's. In 2021, he continued his journey at Job Site Services, where his commitment to his work was evident.

He was known for his love of music, playing the guitar, and expressing his artistic side. Fishing was also a cherished hobby for him, often accompanied by moments spent in the great outdoors.

Above all, Matt was a dedicated father to his daughter, Mattisen G. Pearson of Tawas, MI. He took great pride in raising her, considering it one of his proudest accomplishments. Family was at the core of Matt's being, and he enjoyed spending time with his loved ones.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his mother, Suzanne (David) Parsell of Gaylord, MI; his siblings, Melissa (Brad Eckhardt) Pearson of Gaylord, MI, Bethany (Shawn) Addis of Bethel Springs, TN, Robyn (Jeremy) Rakoniewski of Petoskey, MI, Christopher (Lindsay) Parsell of Troy, MI, and Amanda (Kevin) LaBarge of Petoskey, MI. Matt is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews and three great nephews, who will remember him fondly.

Matt is predeceased by his grandmother, Marianne Dupuis, and his aunt, Laurie Cromwell. His legacy of love, hard work, and passion for life will always be cherished by those who knew him.
