Matthew Gruza

Matthew Gruza, age 66 of St. Helen, passed away Sunday January 9, 2011 at his home. Matt had lived in St. Helen since 1980, formerly of Livonia. He enjoyed splitting wood and plowing the driveway on his tractor. Matt is survived by his wife Patrica of St. Helen and his cousins, Diane (Bill) Linsner of Onsted, Annamarie (Harry) Cusmano and Ellen (Doug) Komer both of Northville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Marie Gruza. Visistation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 3-9 p.m. On Wednesday, Matthew will lie in state at the Community Baptist Church in St. Helen beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Ken Peterson will officiate with burial following at Fairview Cemetery, St. Helen. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
