Matthew William Boyd

Matthew William Boyd, age 62, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024 at his home in St. Helen, MI, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Born on May 3, 1962, in Flint, MI to Richard Sr. and Marjorie (Ferguson) Boyd, Matthew was a pillar of strength and kindness to his family and friends. Throughout his career as a job coordinator for CA Hanes Realty, he touched the lives of many with his work ethic and compassion.

On January 28, 1995, he married Deborah Poyle in Sugar Springs, MI.

Matthew's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. From enjoying fishing and hunting in the great outdoors to exploring the golf course with skill and finesse, he found joy in every moment spent pursuing his hobbies. However, nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with his family and adoring grandchildren.

In the hearts of those who survive him, Matthew will forever hold a special place. His wife Debbie Boyd, son Tyler Boyd (Kali McDougall); his parents Richard and Marjorie Boyd; grandchildren Sophia, Leighton, and Kayson; brother Richard (Lou Ann) Boyd Jr.; sister Robin (Larry) Hudson; niece Kortney (Matt) Simonin; nephew Jamison (Jennifer) Boyd; niece Emily Boyd; cousin Tracey (Anita) Nugent; uncle Gary (Marsha) Boyd; as well as several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were touched by his warmth and generosity.

He is preceded in death by his brother Randall Boyd.

A private celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Matthew William Boyd may have departed from this world, but the light of his memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit of kindness and love will be cherished forevermore.
