Mary M. Broughton

Mary M. Broughton, age 88 of Whittemore, passed away at Medilodge of Sterling. She had been a resident of Whittemore since 2001, formerly of Alger. She enjoyed her grandchildren and gardening. Mrs. Broughton is survived by her son, Thomas (Christine) Broughton of Whittemore, grandchildren--Kellie, Julie, Tina, Rachael, Amy, Bobby, Stephanie and Larry and her great-grandchild, Drexyll. Also surviving is her brother, Peter (Shirley) Charnoske and sister, Eva Reed both of Alger and her long time special friend, Shirley Martin of Troy. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Melv" Broughton, and two sons, Robert Broughton and Larry Broughton. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday May 18, 2005 until the time of the service at 1:00 P.M. Tina Agge will officiate with burial following at Alger Cemetery, Alger, MI. Mary's family would like to give a special thanks to Teresa, Bridgette and the staff at Medilodge of Sterling.
