Mary Lou Krueger (Johnson), 90, passed away peacefully at The Brook of West Branch on July 19, 2023. Mary Lou was born in Cadillac, MI on April 17, 1933.
Mary Lou was a tender, kind-hearted woman, who cherished her family and friends. She was a wonderful homemaker, incredible cook, beautiful quilt maker and knitter, card player and accomplished artist with a variety of styles. Most importantly she was the best Wife, Mom, Buggy, Sister, Aunt and Friend in the world.
Mary Lou is survived by her children Steve Krueger (Kelly), Sue Kaniewski (David Fry), and Scott Krueger (Linda); sisters Joanne Maturen and Margaret Morgan (Russ); brother-in-law Jim Kelly; grandchildren Jenelle, Brad, Jacob, Mariah, Katie, Jimmy, and Andy; great grandchildren Brooke, Cody, Sadie, Alayna, Oliver, Stuart and with three on the way; and many loving family and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Cecelia Johnson, brother Bill Johnson (Linda), sisters Dotty Schafer (Arold), Barb Kelly, son-in-law Mike Kaniewski and brother-in-law Howard Maturen.
Services will be held at Auburn United Methodist Church, 207 S. Auburn Street, Auburn, MI 48611 on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 10:00 am.
Mary Lou will be laid to rest with her soulmate, Jim Krueger, at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, MI in a ceremony with immediate family.
