Mary Lou Buccicone age 79, “A Remarkable Woman”, passed away at her home in West Branch on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 after a battle with a long term illness. Mary Lou was born in Flint on June 11, 1929 and was raised by George and Blanch Viele. She graduated from Standish High School and then attended nursing school in Saginaw. She worked as a registered nurse at Saginaw Osteopathic Hospital and other Saginaw area hospitals. She later became a seamstress and dressmaker and eventually formed the company “Mary Lou Knit.” Mary Lou was a dedicated and loving mother and wife. Predeceased were three husbands, Art Schroeder, James Tunison and Veleo Buccicone. Her children, Coleen Miller, George Schroeder, Dexter Tunison, her grandchildren, Aaron Karlsen, Matthew Karlsen, Stephanie Tuzinovic, Jim Tunison, David Tunison and her great-grandchildren, Emily and Eldin Tuzinovic, Candice Tunison, Khloe and Patrick Tunison will all miss her dearly. Mary Lou retired to her home in West Branch in 1995 and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church there. Her family and friends will gather for a special Memorial Service at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2008.
