Mary Erma Stonhouse

Mary Erma Stonhouse, age 91, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at The Brook in West Branch, MI. She had lived in West Branch for the past 6 years, formerly of Flushing, MI. Mary was born on April 15, 1925 in Flint, MI to Max and Twila (Wilber) Evans. On July 7, 1944 she married Alan Stonhouse in Hayes, Kansas. Mary was wonderful at baking and famous for her cookies. She also enjoyed sewing.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Alan Stonhouse of West Branch, MI; children, John (Cindy) Stonhouse of Moss Point, MS and Kathleen (Ed) Bergeron of St. Helen, MI; grandchildren, Megan Goodman, Jean-Paul Bergeron, Ronelle Kuhnhenn, and Preston Stonhouse; great grandchildren, Leyla Bergeron and Carlyle Goodman; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers.

Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later time.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
