Mrs. Painter, age 81 of Rose City passed away at Bortz Health Care. She had lived in Rose City since 1978, formerly of Bay City. She was a past president of the VFW Auxillary of Rose City, past president of the Michigan Association of Housekeepers and a volunteer for the American Red Cross. She retired in 1984 from Bay Medical Hospital as an Executive Housekeeper. Mrs. Painter is survived by her children, Glen (Linda) Painter and Rosemary Urban both of Rose City, Catherine (Len) Wyatt of Grayling and Frank (Nancy) Painter of Essexville. 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Glen Sr., a daughter, Vickie Davis, a grandson Chad Urban and a brother Frank Mack. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City will begin on Wednesday September 1, 2004 from 2-9 P.M. There will be a Wake Service at 7:30 P.M. On Thursday, a Rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 10:00 A.M. followed by the funeral procession to Holy Family Catholic Church where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Fr. Miro D. Wiese will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Bortz Health Care Activity Center in Rose City or to Hospice of Helping Hands, West Branch.
