Mary Ann Heavlin

Mary Ann Heavlin age 77, passed away October 16, 2012 at Bay Regional Medical Center in Bay City surrounded by her loving family. Born July 31, 1935 in Trenton to Charles Warren and Leta Mae (Ellington) Newsome. Mary Ann was the youngest of 4 children. Mary Ann married the love of her life Carl on July 5, 1952 and enjoyed 60 years of marriage. Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 60 years Carl, son, Richard and Sue(Walters), and grand-daughters, Kelsey Amber and Meghan Nicole, and one brother, Charles Jr. and Karen Newsome of Trenton. She is also survived by many, many special nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Leta Newsome, brother, James Newsome, sister, Lorraine Chambers, and infant sister, Debbie, and her grandson, Jacob Carl Heavlin. Family was the most important thing in Mary Ann’s life. She was always at her husband Carl’s side and enjoyed working puzzles and reading. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 3-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be Friday, October 19, 2012 at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery. Pastor Bob Mohr and Pastor Tim Poldrugo will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the family of Mary Ann Heavlin.
