Martha Ann Dufault

Martha Ann (Hubbard) Dufault, 77, of Gladwin, died on Sunday, May 10, 2015.

She was born on February 8, 1938, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Joseph Edwin and Selma Helen (Kriewall) Hubbard. She was married on May 12, 1962 to Robert Clarence Dufault and stayed together for 53 years.
Martha graduated from Pershing High School ‘56 in Detroit where she was on the synchronized swim team and played field hockey. She continued her education at Wayne State University. She graduated as a R.N. from Harper Hospital where she was born. She completed EMT training through Tolfree Memorial Hospital.
Most of her nursing career was spent at Tolfree Memorial Hospital as an obstetric nurse and O.B.department supervisor where she took delight in helping infants into this world.
Martha made beautiful quilts by hand, grew vegetables and flowers, read avidly and participated in a local bridge club. She enjoyed canning, camping, making maple syrup and cooking with her family. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Girl Scout Troop Leader and Camp nurse and was involved in Horse 4-H for years.
She is survived by her husband, 4 daughters, Nancy (Michael D.) Isaacson of Ishpeming, MI,; Cynthia (Bob Silski) of Dearborn Heights, MI;, Lorraine (Travis Miller) of Prescott, MI; Justine (Scott) Metras of Iron Mountain, MI.
She cherished her 7 grandchildren Michael R. Isaacson, Matthew Silski, Gavin and Tristan Miller, Ethan, Chance and Alison Metras.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Joseph Hubbard.

Visitation and services will be at Steurernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
Funeral Service will be Friday, May 15 with visitation 10:30AM and service beginning at 11:30AM . Pastor Howard Travis will officiate.
