Mark Walter Smith

Mark Walter Smith, age 62 of Hale, passed away Friday, August 19, 2022 at his home. Mark was born on November 18, 1959 to Darryl Eugene and Ruth Ann (Johnson) Smith in Detroit, MI. He married Linda Sue Munn on June 5, 2021 at their home in Hale.

Mark has lived in Hale for 6 years, formerly of Milan, MI. Mark worked for the Operating Engineers #324, where he retired after 30 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Mark was also a member of the Optimist Club.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Linda Smith, mother, Ruth Ann Smith, daughter, Amanda Marie Smith, son, Marco Darryl (Dayna Spencer) Smith, grandchildren, Isabella Rose Katherine Wagner and Ethan Mark Smith. Also surviving are his sisters, Deborah (Dan) Ingraham, Cheryl Smith, Tamara (Robert) Diemler and brother, Steven (Kari) Smith.

He is preceded in death by father, Darryl Eugene Smith and his grandparents.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Mark and Linda’s Home. Pastor Tom Deere will officiate.
